Absences

If your child is going to be away for any reason, please notify the Office via the school app, or the school website at the link below.

Report an Absence

Alternatively, phone 04 383 7189 or email office@owhiro.school.nz

If your child is not at school and we have not been contacted, we will ring, email or send a text reminder to you. This is to make sure your child is safe and we code their absence correctly.

Attendance Management Plan

Every Day Counts at Ōwhiro Bay! We all want our kids to feel confident, connected, and capable. The simplest way to support that is with consistent attendance. When students are here every day, they don’t just keep up with their learning - they build lasting friendships and a true sense of belonging. Let’s work together to give every child the best start by making school a daily habit.
